From Palying Against Wow To Playing A Hunter Pvp

by Henda2 on Sep.03, 2010, under General

Hunters are a soloing class that is capable of leveling at insane speeds. This, along their other signature capabilities such as using tanking and damage-dealing minions make them a really powerful force to reckon with. In this Hunter PVP guide, you will learn how to use a hunter for the PvP arena.

{Making That Change From PvE To PvP}
After killing thousands of mobs, humanoids and monsters in Warcraft, you can change the scenery by going into PvP.

{Here are a few tips}:

{Work Solo Or With Groups}
You’ll do well in both solo and group PvP. Once you’re already out there in the arena, however, you will outshine as a solo PvPer. This is not to say though that you can’t work in groups. You definitely can. In fact, you can excel as a member of a large group, but mostly you can handle your team’s opponents or a small portion of your team’s enemies by yourself with the aid of your pet minion of course.

{To Melee Or Not To Melee}
Now, if you’re going head to head against other players, it is best to maintain your range. You don’t belong in a class that’s geared for melee that can wade into the thick of the battle and whack your enemies to their deaths using your rifle. No, you’re not made for that. Just leave the melee encounters to other classes that excel in that area and do the damage dealing from within your range. But you should not run away from melee fights when there’s no reason to. You see, when your back is against the wall, you’ll do fine attacking your opponent at melee range and letting your pet do the tanking for you.

{Always Preserve Your Pet’s Loyalty And Happiness}
Whether in PvP arena or PvE, you should prioritize your pet’s loyalty and happiness. Both have direct affect on the ability of you rpet minion to dish out attacks. It is not clear though what these do to your pet except that low levels of loyalty and happiness can force your minion to leave you or to perform below its capacity.

Also, don’t forget your pet’s diet. Feeding your pet is integral to its performance.

{Pick up talents suitable for PvP}
{Now here comes the difficult part}: If your Hunter is not specced for PvPing, you might want to have some of your talents tweaked to become for suitable for PvP Arena. You’ll have no trouble with this though if you’re already rolling a Beast Mastery Hunter. Otherwise, you might consider unlearning some of your current talents and invest some on this tree. Doing this will help you develop a minion that’s geared for PvPing.

Your Hunter PVP will also benefit from getting a few talents from the Marksmanship tree to enhance its bow or rifle.
