Do you want to level a new hunter twink from level 1-80? I know exactly how frustrating and boring leveling a new twink in WoW can be. I’ve leveled several characters to 80 by myself and I know the pain. That’s why I want to show you a strategy to increase your leveling speed and level a bit easier and faster.

First things first, you need a good talent build. My hunter leveling guide suggest you to go for Beast Mastery as your talent build. It has many advantages:

Your pet will be a great tank so you will avoid melee combat yourself.

Less mana and health dependant – Don’t have to make breaks to recover mana all the time.

Your pet will deal a lot of damage without requiring gear – Beast Mastery does not rely on good equipment.

And – of course – there is another advantage. Leveling your hunter will feel like you’re on autopilot. No need to smash the buttons. Once you have given your pet the order to attack, you can activate your auto attack and simply press a button now and then. I personally do not know a class that levels so smoothly.

The next advice I want to give you in my hunter leveling guide is about the way you gather experience.

Avoid grinding mobs! In the early days of WoW many players used grinding as an effective way of leveling their characters. Now, these times are long gone. Blizzard decided that they want players to do quests – so they boosted the exp for completing quests. Grinding quests is much more effective than grinding mobs now.

Don’t try to farm exp in instances. Even if you are accompanied by a high level friend or guild made to pull you through an instance – the only thing you can really farm there is equipment. As soon as you have the most important loot, leave the instance and start leveling solo again.
