Have you seen the RROD? Red Ring of Death? It’s when your Xbox 360 turns into a brick and is unusable.

You don’t have to settle for turning your Xbox into a brick. Check out these tips to help you out.

You want to keep your Xbox cool, remember it’s basically a computer, so you got to make sure it doesn’t over heat. The number one thing is to make sure the Xbox 360 is able to let the heat out and escape somewhere else.

Do not put the Xbox system on the carpet because it gets too hot. Take note that the power supply unit gets really warm too, so make sure that’s not on carpet.

I guarantee that these two things alone will make sure your Xbox 360 console is running at it’s peak. I know it gets addicting to play your Xbox for hours on end, but it’s not good for your body and also not good for the Xbox. The first thing you do when your Xbox overheats is just turn it off and unplug all the wires. Then put it out to cool.

Sometimes you will have other problems from overheating like your Xbox will give you the 1 ring of death.

Let me continue and tell you what other issues you might see. The red ring of death on your Xbox is when you get red flashing lights around the power button. When everything is hunky dory with your Xbox, you’ll see green lights instead of red. You may have seen your Xbox freeze in the middle of gameplay.

Well just like mentioned before, it is because your Xbox is overheating. I’m sure if you have a Xbox then you have heard of the E74 Code The E74 Error is also known as the 1 ring of death. Unfortunately, the warranty for the Xbox doesn’t cover the E74 error.
